S.L.Farasi Memorial Day

Spring Hills School celebrated the founder’s Day “Shri S.L.Farasi memorial literary Awards -2023” on 21^st November 2023. This year there were two interschool competition. The first one was interschool KabirkeDohe Recitation Competition for class IV – V. the second one was Interschool Bhagvad Gita ke Shloka Recitation Competition for class VI-VIII. 12 different schools from the town participated in the competition namely Spring Hills School, Siddharth Public School, Max International School, ManavaBharati International School, Fulfot Public School, Janki Children Academy, Uttaranchal Children’s Academy, Shri Ram Krishna Academy, Mount Litera Zee School, Doon Scholar School, Doon Grammar School.         

The function started with the arrival of the Chief Guest Ms. Rajat Shakti, Station Head 93.5 Red FM  Dehradun. The program stared with the lightning of the lamp by the dignitaries, followed by Ganesh Vandana. A heart felt message was delivered by our Vice Principal Ms. Purnima Semwal in the remembrance of our founder Late Shri S.L.Farasi.           

Doha and Shloka recitation help to inculcate moral values in the students and also to make them understand the importance of Sanskrit and Hindi Language. Students from class 6^th to 8^th performed a Garhwali dance, then an inspirational Theme dance on Chandrayaan 3 and lastly a fusion (Indian & classical) dance left the audience spellbound.         

Students recited the Dohas and Shlokas with great spontaneity and enthusiasm. The winners were felicitated with trophies, cash prize, certificate and planters by our chief guest, Chairpersons, directors and the Principal. Principal Sir congratulated the winners for their amazing performance. Our chief guest also addressed the gathering by congratulating the winners and the participants and also appreciated the school management to come up with such unique theme of Dohas and Shlokas recitation which bring awareness among the students about the values of the rich heritage and culture of India.

The program concluded with the vote of thanks by Sr. Coordination National Anthem.
